ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Control Specialist is delegated sufficient authority to successfully complete the duties, responsibilities, goals, and objectives that are assigned to this position.
The Quality Control Specialist is a member of the Quality, Regulatory and Compliance team that is responsible for the comprehensive management of Curexa?s quality management system following the USP and USP guidelines, state and federal laws, DEA along with FDA regulations that focus on 503A compounding pharmacy practices.
Uphold Curexa?s quality assurance and safety standards by assisting in overseeing compliance within operational workflow including the lab production, drug repackaging processes and storage areas and the fulfillment and shipment of medications within relevant guidelines.
Lab Quality Control Specialist responsibilities focus on the monitoring of overall quality control in workflow lab processes, and the auditing of master formulation records, compounding formulation records, telemedicine tracking and logbook documentation, labeling of completed compounded preparations, overall facility conditions, shipping procedures of temperature sensitive medications and equipment maintenance documentation for compliance.
Upholds the quality management system of Curexa by assisting in conducting mock inspections, auditing of compliance platforms, documentation of findings and reporting of results that may need further analysis for corrective and preventative actions.
Audit documentation of the environmental control of the drug storage, compounding and/or drug repackaging and fulfillment areas with daily monitoring of the iMonnit or similar program and RxPestle reporting to maintain compliance.
Audit the RxPestle compliance program to ensure all cleaning tasks have been documented compliantly on a daily basis.
Manage the iMonnit sensors or similar program to maintain NIST certification and sensor mapping on an ongoing basis.
Foster a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and compliance relating to quality assurance in operational workflow across the lab, fulfillment and shipping departments in all Curexa locations.
